About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor equipment at the site using real-time technology
  • Collect and analyze data using various predictive technologies
  • Analyze data to achieve higher equipment availability and lower maintenance costs
  • Make recommendations to maintenance
  • Complete and submit work orders as necessary
  • Assist with on-site training for operations and maintenance employees
  • Assist in developing advanced diagnostic tools as a member of the Remote Access Monitoring Process team
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Three (3) or more years of experience working in a mechanical field
  • Working knowledge and understanding of basic mechanical principles, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid mechanical systems
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient computer skills in a Windows environment, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint
  • Must have completed academic and practical competencies required, including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP exists
  • Ability to demonstrate the required aptitude and apply knowledge and skills
  • Ability to pass a written assessment where required, based on skills/abilities, academic knowledge, and safety
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Ability to work with required personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and humidity
  • Ability to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds during the work day
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and call outs in a 24/7/365 operation
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience with and knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Hands-on maintenance experience with mining or other heavy equipment preferred
  • Experience with Caterpillar VIMS, Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET), and Centurion software systems preferred
  • Must pass mandatory pre-employment drug testing and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing as allowed by applicable laws
