About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Convert approved maintenance strategies and FMEA findings into actionable plans within SAP S/4HANA EAM and APM
Develop job plans and task lists incorporating inspection standards, labor requirements, tools, materials, OEM guidelines, and safety considerations
Develop and maintain CMMS asset structures, including functional locations, equipment master data, and task lists
Configure preventive maintenance programs with appropriate scheduling logic, call horizons, and cycle alignment
Ensure accurate BOM integration within work orders for parts planning, kitting, and procurement
Implement approved maintenance plans from the central repository into site CMMS systems
Manage deployment tracking, version control, and audit documentation across locations and equipment groups
Review and audit active maintenance plans against approved strategies, OEM recommendations, and operational learnings
Enhance plan effectiveness using FMEA updates, equipment data, and execution feedback
Support maintenance readiness during commissioning activities
Liaise with site planning teams regarding job plan development and CMMS configuration
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, OEMs, and Reliability Engineering
Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED and (9) nine years of Engineering experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific discipline and (5) five years of Engineering experience required
Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees
Ability to plan, prioritize, direct and manage a diverse number of operational areas, projects and activities
Skilled in preparing, defending, monitoring and administering budgets
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Hands-on experience building and configuring maintenance plans, task lists, PM orders, and equipment master data within SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or a comparable enterprise CMMS/ERP platform
Understanding of FMEA principles and ability to interpret failure mode analysis outputs and translate them into practical, field-executable maintenance tasks
Working knowledge of RCM, preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance approaches
Familiarity with mining maintenance asset classes, including mobile equipment and fixed plant
Strong attention to detail and technical writing ability for trades audiences
Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deliver plan builds to agreed timelines
Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam
Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing
May be required to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work at a 24/7, 365-day operation
Mandatory pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing, as allowed by applicable laws
Preferred: Maintenance Program managing experience; PCR and Equipment Life planning experience; leadership skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; presentation ability; corporate or group-level multi-site maintenance planning experience; RCM/FMEA workshop exposure; CMRP or equivalent certification; SAP PM Super User certification or Maximo administration experience; document management/version control experience; condition monitoring technology knowledge
