About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform a variety of supply chain duties under general supervision
  • Participate in system implementation and business process projects
  • Contribute to reporting, analytical, and data enrichment activities
  • Review inventory data within the Inventory Planning System
  • Create analyses on market trends and support bid activities
  • Prepare system and business process training documentation
  • Assist with training execution and system/business process rollout activities
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, logistics, or a closely related field; OR recent college graduate within 12 months prior to internship start date with a bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, logistics, or a closely related field
  • Full-time student or recent graduate in North America
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Knowledge of purchasing rules, regulations, inventory control systems and methods, purchase orders, and accounts payable processes
  • Ability to research and gather information related to vendors, contracts, equipment, and supplies
  • Ability to use computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files
  • Preferred: ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to understand, apply, and communicate verbal and written work and safety-related instructions, procedures, job assignments, and applicable safety standards in English
  • Must be able to multitask, work under pressure, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Mandatory pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing as required by applicable state laws
  • This position is not eligible for Freeport-McMoRan immigration work visa sponsorship
  • Must be able to work remotely from an eligible U.S. state; California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and South Carolina are excluded
