About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform MIS-related duties assigned by the department under general supervision
  • Meet with business stakeholders to evaluate business and technical needs, define scope, and document business requirements
  • Research internal and external solutions
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and document findings
  • Create end-user and training documentation
  • Document and maintain perimeter risk assessments
  • Document and maintain network device hardening processes
  • Create and conduct security awareness training
  • Manage security vulnerability management assessments
  • Analyze and document business requirements
  • Write queries and perform data analysis
  • Design, develop, enhance, or fix reports and dashboards
  • Work with users to adopt solutions
  • Apply SOA design patterns, including microservices
  • Write .NET code, specifically C#, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Work with cloud platforms and UX/UI design interests
  • Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime and outside normal working hours when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year university, pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in MIS, Computer Technology, or a closely related field; OR recent graduate within 12 months prior to internship start date with a bachelor’s degree or higher in MIS, Computer Technology, or a closely related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Highly accurate and detail oriented
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Initiative and organizational skills; ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to demonstrate honesty, fairness, respect, trust, and integrity
  • Ability to understand, apply, and communicate verbal and written work and safety-related instructions, procedures, job assignments, and applicable safety standards in English
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • No immigration work visa sponsorship available
  • Mandatory pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing as applicable under state law
  • Preferred: exposure to SharePoint document management, MS Project, and data analytics
