About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform project work involving field work, data collection, and analysis under general supervision
- Assemble data and assist with problem-solving using basic theories and engineering fundamentals
- Use computer programs to solve equipment reliability problems
- Assist with technical evaluation of equipment and material
- Maintain accurate and current project documentation
- Participate as a member of an equipment maintenance crew as needed
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and other departments
- Develop scopes of work for minor and major preventive maintenance activities
- Evaluate current systems and processes and implement optimizations to improve efficiencies
- Assist in developing detailed information packets
- Promote positive employee relations and facilitate teamwork and job satisfaction
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in an appropriate Engineering discipline, OR recent graduate within 12 months prior to internship start date with a bachelor's degree or higher in an appropriate Engineering discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Highly accurate and detail oriented
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Initiative, organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to understand, apply, and communicate verbal and written work and safety-related instructions, procedures, job assignments, and applicable safety standards in English
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Ability to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear, and see
- Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 30 pounds
- Mandatory pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing as per applicable state laws
