About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct real estate due diligence, including the analysis of property records, certificates, liabilities, and risks, and prepare the corresponding reports.
- Draft and review various real estate agreements, including purchase and sale, lease, built-to-suit, sale-and-leaseback, barter, and fiduciary transfer of title agreements.
- Work on real estate developments and subdivisions, including reviewing and preparing documentation for registration.
- Handle property registration regularization procedures before real estate registries.
- Support the structuring of real estate transactions, including those involving corporate law matters.
- Prepare legal opinions and memoranda on civil, real estate, registration, urban planning, and land law.
- Support other firm teams on real estate matters, including audits and M&A transactions.
- Research legislation, case law, and registration regulations, and monitor relevant updates in the field.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree
- Active registration with the São Paulo State Bar Association (OAB/SP)
- Prior experience in real estate advisory work at a law firm
- Intermediate English
- Ongoing postgraduate studies in Real Estate, Property Registration, or Contract Law are a plus
