About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare sterile products using proper aseptic techniques in compliance with established procedures
  • Adhere to GMP standards, SOPs, and all quality and safety requirements
  • Perform staging, decontamination, labeling, inspection, and packaging activities
  • Maintain proper line clearance and ensure accuracy during all production steps
  • Operate and maintain production equipment safely and effectively
  • Ensure adequate availability of cleanroom supplies to meet production needs
  • Complete required in-process checks to maintain compliance and product quality
  • Participate in inventory counts, validations, calibration, and environmental monitoring
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper waste handling in cleanroom areas
  • Support training of new employees and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other departments
  • Maintain up-to-date training and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Report to the Pharmacy Production Supervisor within the Production department at the Hospital Compounding facility

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pharmacy Technician diploma or post-secondary education in a related field
  • 1–2 years of compounding experience is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of GMP and standard operating procedures
  • Familiarity with Lean/5S principles is an asset
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and work ethic
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
  • Manual dexterity and frequent use of arms during compounding and packaging
  • Ability to lift up to 20 kg
  • Ability to wear full cleanroom attire for 4–5 hours
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
