About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate facility operations and patient procedures to ensure quality patient care
- Provide nursing support to patients and staff
- Assist with staffing, staff training, equipment, physician and patient relations, cost containment, supply management, medical records, patient billing, OSHA, and regulatory compliance
- Drive quality standards, regulatory compliance, and Continuous Quality Improvement activities
- Supervise and direct facility staff providing vascular access procedures
- Assign and delegate tasks to direct patient care staff
- Manage daily staffing schedules, breaks, patient needs, and care assignments
- Monitor patient care techniques and adherence to policies and procedures
- Participate in staff selection, orientation, training, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge
- Educate patients and families regarding pre- and post-procedure vascular access care
- Support patient workflow and provide direct patient care as needed
- Ensure complete documentation, orders, consents, laboratory work, and medical records
- Respond to emergencies, initiate CPR and emergency measures, and administer medications and IV conscious sedation as ordered
- Participate in Governing Body and CQI meetings, preparing agendas, data, materials, and reports
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of facility equipment and technology
- Manage medications, controlled substances, inventory, usage logs, and drug disposal records
- Conduct chart audits and participate in regulatory and accreditation surveys
- Act as Facility Manager in the manager's absence or at management direction
- Maintain CLIA license with the Facility Administrator
- Travel between assigned facilities and attend regional, Business Unit, and Corporate meetings as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum of three years' experience preferred in an Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU experience
- Minimum of three years of Interventional Radiology scrub experience preferred
- Supervisory or management experience within a medical or vascular access environment preferred
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with medical database software
- Demonstrated management skills necessary to provide leadership and supervision of facility personnel
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community
- Ability to maintain competency with emergency operational procedures
- ASC certification preferred
