About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create a multi-year roadmap including platform capabilities
Lead implementation of a consolidated payments architecture across processors, banks, and ledger systems
Execute across authorization, settlement, batching, reconciliation, funding, payouts, and refunds/recoupments
Drive delivery with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Engineering, and executive leadership
Implement upgraded and outsourced ledgering capabilities
Improve traceability, reporting accuracy, auditability, and reconciliation efficiency
Integrate claims, payments, and financial reporting
Lead execution across RTP, FedNow, ACH, card, and virtual card programs
Define routing logic, controls, reconciliation, and multi-rail requirements
Improve provider, employer, external partner, and member experience
Own integration requirements and sequencing across processors, banks, and hybrid infrastructure partners
Improve authorization rates, returned payments, refunds, settlement timing, operational error rates, and cost per transaction
Strengthen platform resilience and margin efficiency as transaction volume grows
Ensure payment workflows meet NACHA, card brand, sponsor bank, audit, and regulatory requirements
Partner with Compliance, Finance, and Operations to identify and mitigate risk

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of Product Management experience in payments or fintech
Ownership of product roadmaps and product requirements
Direct partnership with engineering teams
Experience in B2B and B2B2C payments environments with complex or intermediated money movement
Deep understanding of ACH, cards, payment gateways, merchant acquiring, ledgering, reconciliation, settlement, refunds, exceptions, chargebacks, and payment APIs
Experience building and scaling payment capabilities across processors, banks, SaaS vendors, and cross-functional business and technology teams
Ability to build alignment across executives, technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners
Understanding of end-to-end payment flows and dependencies across systems, vendors, ledgering, reconciliation, and operations
Ability to create structure in complex or unclear environments, make sound tradeoffs, and drive initiatives from requirements through successful delivery
Ability to meet applicable NACHA, card brand, sponsor bank, audit, and regulatory requirements
