Key responsibilities & impact

Construct and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines integrating data from multiple sources
Develop efficient database solutions to collect, store, secure, and provide access to data
Create algorithms that transform raw data into actionable insights aligned with business objectives
Evaluate and enhance data systems and processes for improved efficiency and reliability
Implement systems to validate data accuracy and consistency
Collaborate with machine learning engineers, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field
Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, CDS Views, ABAP fundamentals, SAP data extraction frameworks, and analytical data modeling best practices
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
Experience designing and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets
Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP data sources
Experience leveraging SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Integration capabilities, Databricks, and modern data engineering frameworks
Knowledge of cloud-based data platform architectures and modern cloud technologies
Understanding of reporting, analytics, planning, and business intelligence processes, including underlying data models and requirements
Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus
Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts are a plus
Strong team-oriented mindset, creativity, and motivation to contribute to a shared vision
