About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build and operate a secure, scalable, AI-ready data and analytics platform on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric
- Administer and optimize Azure and Fabric platform resources, subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC, Azure Policies, Fabric capacities, workspaces, gateways and item governance
- Manage storage and compute layers across Fabric OneLake, ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, SQL pools, Spark runtime and capacity settings
- Enable and operate data ingestion and transformation services using Fabric Spark Notebooks and Materialized Lake Views
- Establish platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, autoscaling, performance tuning, cost control, tagging, chargeback/showback and capacity optimization
- Harden end-to-end platform security using Entra ID, PIM, conditional access, managed identities, Key Vault, private endpoints, encryption and network isolation
- Implement governance, compliance and data protection controls using Microsoft Purview, DLP, sensitivity labels, retention policies and auditing
- Enable AI/ML and advanced analytics workloads by integrating Azure Machine Learning and Fabric ML experiences
- Oversee CI/CD and lifecycle management for analytics and data platform artifacts using Fabric Git integration and GitHub Enterprise Cloud
- Act as tenant and workspace administrator and platform enabler for Fabric and Power BI
- Collaborate cross-functionally, define best practices and coach teams on platform usage
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance platform engineering processes and technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a strong foundation in AI principles and methodologies, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- More than five years in Data & AI Jobs
- Azure platform administration
- Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy / Blueprints, subscription and resource group management, Cost Management, automation standards
- Hands-on Microsoft Fabric administration, including capacities (F SKUs), workspaces, Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Shortcuts, Notebooks, Fabric Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2
- Security-by-design for data platforms, including network segmentation, Private Endpoints, Key Vault / CMK, managed identities, secret rotation, DLP and encryption
- Governance and compliance controls using Microsoft Purview, RLS/OLS, sensitivity labels, audit logging, data residency and privacy requirements
- Power BI and Fabric tenant administration, including tenant settings, gateways, semantic model governance, incremental refresh, Direct Lake / DirectQuery, Spark Pools, deployment pipelines
- Storage and compute operations for analytics platforms: ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Spark runtimes, SQL (Fabric Lakehouse), partitioning, caching and performance tuning
- Observability and operational excellence using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics / KQL, Fabric capacity metrics, Fabric Eventhouse, refresh diagnostics, query performance and cost/performance optimization
- Git-based workflows, YAML pipelines (GitHub Actions), environment promotion, release automation and AKS platform operations
