About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate a highly available on-premises server and storage environment
Ensure the availability and performance of server, storage, and backup systems
Ensure the availability and performance of server systems and the virtual Linux servers running on them
Implement necessary changes and optimizations in a structured manner
Remotely identify and resolve incidents across Fronius subsidiaries worldwide
Proactively maintain and continuously develop the systems environment
Support maintenance activities, patch deployment, and software updates, including weekend work three to four times per year
Continuously build and maintain the IT knowledge base

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of professional experience and completed vocational training in IT
Experience administering Linux servers
Knowledge of configuration management (Ansible, Salt) and Infrastructure as Code
Administrative expertise in virtualization solutions, enterprise storage systems, and backup systems
Knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices
Enjoy troubleshooting and consistently solving IT problems
Team-oriented, self-reliant, and structured approach to work
Reliability, scheduling flexibility, and strong communication skills, including in English
