About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build and maintain production-quality full-stack SaaS and white-label software solutions
  • Develop responsive applications using Vue 3 and Nuxt in SPA mode
  • Develop asynchronous Python services using FastAPI or equivalent frameworks
  • Lead architectural design and make technical trade-off decisions for scalable, efficient solutions
  • Act as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager
  • Translate requirements into technical plans and break initiatives into achievable milestones
  • Contribute to sprint and quarterly planning, estimating effort and identifying dependencies, risks and capacity constraints
  • Define scope and maintain coherent delivery plans across engineers
  • Lead technical discussions and code reviews
  • Mentor engineers and act as a first point of contact for technical problems
  • Set technical direction and support engineer performance and wellbeing
  • Own system security, performance, reliability and maintainability
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows with linting, testing, type checking and deployment on merge
  • Manage AWS infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code through Terraform or equivalent tools
  • Lead incident investigation and resolution, identify root causes and implement improvements
  • Build knowledge of agri-food sectors, customer profiles and workflows
  • Identify technical problems and opportunities and own improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to technology and innovation ideas and support Data Science research and development
  • Align technical decisions with business objectives and contribute to product and technology roadmap planning
  • Translate customer feedback into secure, scalable and user-friendly solutions
  • Represent YAGRO’s technical capabilities to customers during calls or demonstrations
  • Explain technical decisions and limitations and handle feasibility and timeline challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong technical expertise and proven experience in delivery planning and line management
  • Strong experience designing, developing and maintaining enterprise SaaS and white label technology solutions across the full stack
  • Proficiency with Python, TypeScript and raw SQL against PostgreSQL, without an ORM
  • Experience with Vue 3 and Nuxt in SPA mode
  • Experience with asynchronous Python services using FastAPI or equivalent frameworks
  • Knowledge of software design principles, databases, web frameworks and distributed data processing
  • Experience evaluating AWS Lambda processing pipelines, including cold starts, container sizing, retries and error handling
  • Experience with AWS services including container-based Lambda, RDS, S3 and Lightsail
  • Experience managing infrastructure through Terraform or equivalent tools
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or equivalent tooling
  • Experience with linting, testing, type checking and deployment on merge
  • Experience with security, performance, reliability, maintainability and rigorous testing
  • Experience leading incident investigation and resolution
  • Experience contributing to sprint and quarterly planning, effort estimation, dependency identification and capacity assessment
  • Experience mentoring engineers, providing structured feedback and addressing performance or wellbeing concerns
  • Ability to translate requirements into technical plans and multi-month initiatives into milestones
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions to technical and non-technical colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work closely with Product, Project Management, Business Development and Data Science teams
