About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the supervisor, coordinator, and management as requested; participate in meetings and study groups; and prepare management reports to support decision-making
Coordinate and guide department employees regarding questions and requests in the coordinator’s absence or whenever requested
Prepare financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Income Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity, Statement of Cash Flows, Statement of Value Added, and explanatory notes
Handle specific department requests and requests from senior management
Guide and assist employees with accounting questions and the asset management of company property
Analyze and perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
Manage, analyze, and reconcile the asset management system, including the physical and financial controls of movable assets, real estate, and intangible assets
Prepare reports analyzing budgeted versus actual results for fixed assets
Perform the monthly closing of the accounting, financial, and asset management modules in TOTVS for the parent company and subsidiaries
Provide support for and respond to internal and external audits, consulting engagements, and inspections
Analyze and propose improvements to internal processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Keep up to date with legislation, current accounting standards, and internal policies
Prepare, review, and submit SPED ECD, SPED ECF, and other accounting filings
Prepare, calculate, and manage IRPJ and CSLL calculations for the parent company and subsidiaries, as well as related studies and research

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with an active CRC registration
Professional experience in accounting
Experience with auditing
Knowledge of Power BI
Data-handling and data analysis skills
Ability to apply Artificial Intelligence to work routines
Proficiency in the MS Office suite, with intermediate Excel skills
Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably TOTVS Datasul
Knowledge of SPED filings, particularly ECD and ECF
Knowledge of payroll processes
Understanding of tax department operations
Knowledge of accounting standards, CPC pronouncements, and legislation affecting accounting
Experience with projects and the application of agile methodologies
Ability to work effectively in teams
Experience with financial statement consolidation
