About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop strategic proposals and communications plans for clients and new business prospects
- Serve as a primary client contact in meetings, conference calls, and client-site work
- Manage client projects, coordinate project rollouts, and ensure deadlines are met
- Scenario-plan likely outcomes and develop corresponding communications strategies
- Draft client materials, including stakeholder communications, FAQs, and media statements
- Review junior team deliverables where appropriate
- Anticipate client and account team needs and work with senior leaders to address them
- Participate in new business proposals and presentations
- Support development, production, and marketing of thought leadership
- Coach and mentor junior team members
- Develop and manage crisis communications responses for active cybersecurity attacks or threats
- Support cybersecurity communications preparedness projects and tabletop exercises
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in crisis/issues management, cybersecurity, and/or corporate communications
- Track record of managing communications with multiple stakeholders during crisis events
- Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal presentation skills
- Prior client service, consulting, or agency experience
- Ability to advise and secure confidence of senior communications client contacts, account leads, and junior team members
- Proven project management track record and comfort managing staff at all levels
- Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work under pressing deadlines across multiple projects
- Demonstrated people management experience, including mentorship and supervision
- Ability to excel in fast-paced, changing environments
- Travel required to clients and FTI office(s)
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; employer will not sponsor work visas
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and service-oriented attitude
