About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Guide and manage reviews and advise on review workflow and strategy
Run reviews and manage client relationships from beginning to end of projects
Define scope of work, deliverables, and deadlines
Oversee progress and delivery of work product within established timeframes and quality standards
Supervise review teams and train and guide team leads and reviewers
Coordinate reviewer onboarding and offboarding with operations and human resources
Maintain communication among clients, FTI service delivery teams, and project review teams
Manage project review teams to ensure document-review accuracy and throughput
Manage several projects simultaneously
Monitor review speeds and progress and prepare daily reports
Implement and oversee quality-control protocols
Set up, supervise, and complete privilege logs with attorney teams
Provide substantive review support using review tools on site, at client locations, and remotely
Scope substantive parameters, select review tools and repositories, and estimate timelines and budgets
Develop review workflows with clients and outside counsel
Build and foster client and outside-counsel relationships
Monitor costs and escalate budget variances
Maintain billing-system inputs, case status, revenue projections, and authorized budgets
Establish relationships with other offices and firm segments and promote consistent procedures and quality
Travel as required, potentially on short notice, for case activities, trainings, meetings, and client events

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of post-graduate professional experience as a Review Manager managing review teams and overseeing the delivery of document review services
3+ years of post-graduate professional experience supporting document review software applications
B.S. or a B.A. college degree
J.D.
Must be barred, active and in good standing
Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
Holding an active bar in the state where the applicant resides
Experience interfacing with clients
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks through prioritization and time management
Proficiency in a language other than English and experience supervising foreign language review
Experience managing and working with people in a team environment
Experience managing Antitrust/Second Request, Data Privacy Breach or Foreign Corrupt Practices Act reviews
Deep knowledge of Relativity
Familiarity with Nuix Discovery and Reveal/Brainspace
Experience supporting document review software applications in document-intensive cases
