About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide research and help plan and develop comprehensive communication programs
  • Write and edit client materials including strategic memos, press releases, presentations, emails, media reports, media pitches and social media content
  • Assist with program measurement and progress report development
  • Research target media and develop and maintain media lists
  • Develop and evaluate editorial calendar opportunities
  • Evaluate campaign results against objectives
  • Contribute to interns’ professional development and performance review process as needed
  • Support billing procedures and timely, accurate client invoices
  • Participate in new business proposals and presentations
  • Support development, production and marketing of thought leadership on emerging trends and issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, political science, public health, business or related field
  • 2+ years of previous experience in a communications agency specializing in healthcare or life sciences, or a relevant in-house communications team
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship
  • Travel to clients and FTI office(s) required
  • Background in the Healthcare & Life Sciences sector preferred
  • Superior research, writing, editing and oral presentation skills
  • Experience with blogging tools, publishing software and social media platforms
  • Strong time and priority management skills
  • Project management skills and ability to support key client relationships
  • Understanding of Associated Press Style Guidelines
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
