About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the documentation infrastructure for FTI Technology's data and intelligence platform
- Produce and maintain the data dictionary, architecture documentation, API specifications, and integration guides
- Produce model documentation packages covering training data provenance, assumption disclosures, validation methodology, version history, and performance monitoring
- Create API specifications and data dictionaries that enable IQ.AI, FTI Connect, Reveal, and Relativity to integrate with the platform
- Work across engineering, data, security, and operations teams to extract technical knowledge and convert it into usable artifacts
- Collaborate with adjacent product teams including IQ.AI, FTI Connect, and TechOps
- Communicate with engineers and senior leadership
- Establish documentation standards, tooling, and processes for adoption by other FTI Technology teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years producing technical documentation for data platforms, AI systems, or quantitative models in a professional environment
- A quantitative background (statistics, mathematics, econometrics, or equivalent)
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI offices
- Ability to identify model assumptions that introduce risk and document those risks precisely
- Strong technical writing skills
- Ability to produce technically rigorous model specifications readable by non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to write usable API references for developers
- Ability to establish and maintain documentation standards
- Experience in financial services, legal technology, or any regulated industry
- Familiarity with model risk management standards is highly valued
