About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support equipment readiness and integration on the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command project
  • Act as a subject matter expert for enterprise equipment Configuration Data Management Systems
  • Utilize Jupiter within the Advana platform to integrate and use naval data across readiness pillars
  • Create reports, dashboards, and data sets for internal and external collaboration
  • Combine multiple data sources, perform data cleanup, shaping, and modeling, and produce visualizations and reports
  • Collect data, conduct analytical reviews, and recommend improvements to Equipment Readiness policies
  • Assist with software development requirements for Readiness Reporting and cost models
  • Analyze raw data and provide historical trends, reports, graphical presentations, and recommendations
  • Perform quantitative analysis of financial, materiel inventory, and materiel assessments data
  • Use mathematical and statistical methods to evaluate materiel solutions that increase combat power and readiness
  • Prepare economic analyses of force-wide materiel asset requirements, including Table of Allowance inventory
  • Research historical maintenance, replacement, and technical-refresh costs
  • Analyze current resource utilization and project future materiel resource requirements
  • Conduct routine and continuing cost studies
  • Participate in procurement plans and program objectives by evaluating cost/readiness tradeoffs and budget constraints
  • Perform special assignments supporting materiel readiness strategic objectives, cross-functional initiatives, and force readiness improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent graduate degree, or 4 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess an active Secret DoD Clearance
  • Must work onsite at the Joint Expeditionary Base in Little Creek, VA
  • Experience with Jupiter within the Advana platform
  • Experience integrating and utilizing naval data across readiness pillars
  • Ability to create reports, dashboards, and data sets
  • Ability to bring multiple data sources together and perform data cleanup, shaping, and modeling
  • Ability to perform quantitative analysis of financial, materiel inventory, and materiel assessments data
  • Knowledge of mathematical and statistical methods
  • Ability to conduct economic, cost, readiness, and resource utilization analyses
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense systems and equipment Configuration Data Management Systems
