About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide general management for electrical construction projects under the guidance of the Project or Group Manager
  • Oversee project staff
  • Contact vendors to obtain construction materials
  • Participate in the bi-annual performance evaluation process
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and consult with the Group or Project Manager on field merit wage increases
  • Maintain employee relations
  • Plan, organize, and staff electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects
  • Ensure projects are completed profitably, on time, and according to customer expectations
  • Attend weekly and monthly staffing, project management, and sales meetings
  • Process miscellaneous paperwork
  • Review outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department for accuracy
  • Visit job sites and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors to ensure project progress and support safe behavior

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical construction, project management, or a related field
  • Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with electrical construction projects and understanding of electrical components and applications is preferred
  • Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred
  • General knowledge of electrical components and applications is preferred
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable
  • Willingness/ability to travel 15-20%
  • Typical availability between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, with work potentially required at any time to meet business needs
  • Successful completion of a background and drug test
