About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide general management for electrical and/or specialty systems QAQC and commissioning scopes of work under the guidance of the Project or Program Manager
  • Assist with commissioning and startup schedules
  • Contact vendors to obtain materials for construction projects
  • Participate in the bi-annual performance evaluation process
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and consult with Group or Project Manager on field merit wage increases
  • Maintain employee relations
  • Plan, organize, and staff electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects
  • Ensure projects are completed profitably, on time, and according to customer expectations
  • Attend weekly and monthly staffing, project management, sales, and other meetings
  • Process miscellaneous paperwork
  • Review outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department for accuracy
  • Visit job sites and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors to ensure job progress and encourage safe behavior
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Project Management, Construction Management, Project Engineering, or Commissioning Management experience
  • Commissioning/start-up experience for electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Relevant industry experience in Mission Critical, Industrial, or Commercial
  • Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of the electrical construction trade preferred
  • Willingness to travel 75-100%
  • Ability to work typical hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, with work at any time on any day as business needs require
  • Successful completion of a background and drug test
  • Ability to perform the position's responsibilities and additional functions assigned by supervisors
