About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform electrical power, lighting, and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects
- Provide guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers
- Perform detailed calculations to establish construction standards and specifications
- Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specifications
- Plan layouts of electrical construction projects
- Conduct field surveys and identify and correct power system problems
- Confer with internal and external customers about construction projects
- Ensure construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
- Inspect completed installations for conformance to design and equipment specifications
- Compile data and write reports on engineering studies and projects
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with 2 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience, or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology with 6 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
- Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
- AutoCAD/Revit knowledge is required
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
- Willingness to travel 5-10%
- Ability to work Monday-Friday between 7 AM and 5 PM
- Must relocate to Monroe, Louisiana for the onsite position
- Must relocate to a WI, KS, IN, or TX facility for 3 months of onsite training
- Successful completion of a background and drug test
