About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform electrical power, lighting, and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects
  • Provide guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers
  • Perform detailed calculations to establish construction standards and specifications
  • Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specifications
  • Plan layouts of electrical construction projects
  • Conduct field surveys and analyze data to identify and correct power system problems
  • Confer with internal and external customers about construction projects
  • Ensure construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
  • Inspect completed installations for conformance to design and equipment specifications
  • Compile data and write reports on engineering studies and projects
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering and 2 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience; or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology and 6 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
  • Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • AutoCAD/Revit knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Willingness/ability to work onsite in Monroe, Louisiana
  • Ability to relocate to a WI, KS, IN, or TX facility for 3 months for onsite training
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday between 7 AM and 5 PM
  • Travel requirement of 5-10%
  • Successful completion of a background and drug test
