About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate business and maintain customer relationships
  • Provide general management of electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects
  • Plan, organize, and staff electrical, automation, and MES construction projects
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, profitably, on time, at high quality, and according to customer expectations
  • Identify and generate new business; network and establish customer relationships
  • Foster friendly and constructive employee relations and promote positive company culture
  • Coordinate materials with the Purchasing Department and vendors
  • Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, including ORM, staffing, jobsite, project manager, and financial meetings
  • Participate in the bi-annual field performance review process
  • Conduct timely employee performance reviews and coach employees on future growth opportunities
  • Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, selection, employee relations, and related matters for direct reports
  • Review outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department for accuracy
  • Visit jobsites and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors to monitor progress and encourage safe behavior
  • Oversee staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Construction, Electrical Engineering, or another related field; OR 5 years of experience in the electrical field and 1 year of electrical estimating experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD preferred
  • Willingness to travel 15–20%
  • Ability to work typical hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday, with availability for work at any time on any day to meet business needs
  • Successful completion of a background and drug test required
