About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Mechanical Project Manager and site leadership in day-to-day execution of mechanical scope
  • Coordinate with superintendents, trade partners, and project controls to track progress and resolve issues
  • Assist with detailed work plans, schedules, and resource needs
  • Monitor installation progress and identify schedule, cost, and quality risks
  • Prepare, track, and manage RFIs
  • Coordinate and review mechanical submittals, shop drawings, and equipment data
  • Maintain submittal logs and support change management processes
  • Support installation and coordination of MES, TWMUs, FSHAC and MSA piping interconnections, and mechanical system interfaces
  • Coordinate with controls teams for system integration and commissioning readiness
  • Coordinate Excellerate prefabrication scope, fabrication tracking, delivery, and site integration
  • Track mechanical equipment and materials, delivery paperwork, inspection reports, and invoicing of mechanical MOFE equipment
  • Support field teams with technical issues, design clarifications, and installation challenges
  • Participate in site walks, inspections, and quality verification
  • Track punch list items and ensure closure before turnover
  • Update project schedules and progress reports
  • Participate in coordination meetings and communicate issues, risks, and progress
  • Maintain communication among field teams, design teams, and project leadership
  • Promote and enforce safety culture and compliance with company policies, site safety plans, and regulations
  • Monitor field activities and report safety concerns
  • Assist with system startup, testing, commissioning, as-builts, and turnover packages
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of construction or engineering experience
  • Ideally, experience focused on mechanical systems
  • Foundational understanding of HVAC and piping systems
  • Familiarity with construction coordination processes
  • Experience with mission-critical or data center projects preferred
  • Willingness to travel 20%
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication across field and engineering teams
  • Problem-solving mindset with willingness to learn complex systems
  • Familiarity with document control and coordination platforms such as ACC and Procore
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test
