About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all aspects of mechanical scope, including pre-site mobilization, site mobilization, commissioning, and project turnover
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, construction, electrical, controls, general contractor, and on-site installation teams
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, budgets, invoicing, forecasts, and cost tracking
  • Oversee subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and change management processes
  • Identify and mitigate cost and schedule risks; drive value engineering and recovery plans
  • Serve as primary mechanical contact for trades, vendors, owners, general contractors, inspectors, and design teams
  • Coordinate commissioning activities and ensure documentation for mechanical systems
  • Support BIM/VDC coordination, clash resolution, and design integration
  • Oversee field progress, productivity, manpower planning, quality, safety, code compliance, and commissioning requirements
  • Develop manufacturing, execution, quality, commissioning, and startup plans
  • Review daily Takt progress, deviations, and remediation plans
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings and progress reviews
  • Provide updates on progress, risks, and performance metrics
  • Support testing and final system turnover to the client
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience managing mechanical scopes on large-scale construction projects
  • Proven experience with mission-critical or data center projects strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and data center cooling strategies
  • Demonstrated success managing subcontractors, project schedules, and budgets
  • Willingness to travel 50%
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday
  • Employment contingent upon successfully passing a background and drug test
