About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee technical accounting, financial reporting, and revenue accounting functions under the Vice President, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Build scalable accounting governance and develop company-wide U.S. GAAP accounting policies
  • Research, document, and prepare technical accounting memoranda for complex, non-routine, or judgmental transactions
  • Monitor emerging accounting standards, including ASC 606, and support implementation across the organization
  • Provide technical accounting support for M&A, investments, joint ventures, and capital structure changes
  • Execute and manage a scalable ASC 606 revenue recognition framework
  • Evaluate complex customer contracts, variable consideration, performance obligations, and contract modifications
  • Partner with business lines to establish accounting models and operational processes for new products and revenue streams
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and reporting packages
  • Maintain supporting schedules, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and audit trails
  • Prepare financial disclosures and reporting for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders
  • Serve as primary liaison with external auditors
  • Design and enforce standardized internal controls and review procedures
  • Develop standardized documentation standards to streamline audit readiness
  • Manage and mentor technical accounting and financial reporting team members
  • Support finance transformation projects focused on automation, efficiency, and system scalability
  • Promote technical accounting knowledge sharing and training across the finance organization
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA required
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience within a large, complex organization
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Significant experience in revenue recognition and complex or judgmental accounting matters
  • Experience supporting technical accounting and financial reporting functions
  • Experience researching and documenting complex accounting matters
  • Experience developing accounting policies, financial reporting structures, supporting schedules, processes, controls, and governance
  • Experience supporting growing and evolving businesses, including establishing accounting frameworks for new business lines, revenue streams, contractual structures, and commercial models
  • Strong experience evaluating complex customer contracts and revenue arrangements under ASC 606
  • Experience with acquisitions, consolidation, investments, joint ventures, and other complex transactions preferred
  • Ability to translate technical accounting requirements into practical, scalable business processes
  • Experience managing projects and developing accounting team members
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across Finance, operations, leadership, external auditors, and professional advisors
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • Availability to work between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday–Friday, with flexibility to work any day or time to meet business needs
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test required
