About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate project commissioning plans and documents
  • Conduct on-site/jobsite coordination, execution, and auditing of commissioning activities
  • Support creation of project commissioning plans, resourcing plans, and commissioning execution activities
  • Work with Preconstruction Managers and Project Managers to define commissioning requirements and establish plans
  • Assist with creating LOTO plans and start-up scripts
  • Complete detailed procedures and checklists documenting equipment performance and system integration
  • Assist the Commissioning Site Lead with LOTO and start-up script structure, training, and implementation
  • Conduct field surveys
  • Collect and enter data to verify equipment conforms to operational standards and requirements
  • Provide support materials and reports to Project Managers and the commissioning team
  • Provide reports documenting equipment functions against project specifications and requirements
  • Support field commissioning through research and addressing needs during the commissioning process
  • Guide office and field teams to ensure start-up activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
  • Work with equipment providers to troubleshoot installed equipment during start-up, testing, and commissioning
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 8 years of related experience or 5 to 12 years of mechanical commissioning experience
  • 20–40% travel
  • Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to understand one-lines, schematics, and drawings
  • Knowledge of mechanical terminology and components
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday between 7 am and 5 pm
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test
