About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate business
- Provide general management of electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects
- Oversee staff and ensure other Project Managers sufficiently perform their responsibilities
- Foster friendly and constructive employee relations
- Coordinate materials with the Purchasing Department and vendors
- Identify and generate new business and maintain customer relationships
- Plan, organize, and staff electrical construction projects
- Ensure projects are completed safely, productively, timely, with high quality, and according to customer expectations
- Attend weekly and monthly meetings
- Participate in performance reviews for field leadership
- Partner with the Talent Team on recruiting, selection, and employee relations
- Review outgoing estimates for accuracy
- Conduct job-site visits and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors
- Delegate effectively and maintain accountability systems
- Coach, develop, select, and train managerial talent
- Manage cross-functional workflows and recommend improvements
- Foster collaboration and support employee development
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training
- 1 year of electrical estimating experience, or 5 years of experience in the electrical trade and 1 year of electrical estimating experience
- Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD preferred
- Knowledge of the electrical construction trade preferred
- Willingness to travel 15–20%
- Must successfully pass a background and drug test
- Ability to work Monday–Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with work at any time on any day of the week as needed
