About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate business and maintain customer relationships
  • Provide general management of electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects
  • Oversee staff and ensure Project Managers sufficiently perform their responsibilities
  • Coordinate materials with the Purchasing Department and vendors
  • Plan, organize, staff, and manage electrical construction projects
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, productively, on time, with high quality, and according to customer expectations
  • Attend staffing, project manager, sales, and other meetings
  • Participate in field leadership performance reviews with the Workforce Manager
  • Partner with the Talent Team on recruiting, selection, and employee relations
  • Review outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department for accuracy
  • Conduct site visits and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors
  • Delegate effectively and maintain accountability and control systems
  • Coach, develop, select, and train managerial talent
  • Manage boundaries and workflow between organizational units
  • Convey functional strategies, business strategies, and corporate mission
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and a supportive work environment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training
  • 1 year of electrical estimating experience
  • OR 5 years of experience in the electrical trade and 1 year of electrical estimating experience
  • Proficiency in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD preferred
  • Knowledge of the electrical construction trade preferred
  • Willingness to travel 15–20%
  • Typical availability Monday–Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; work may be required at any time to meet business needs
  • Successful completion of a background and drug test
  • Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
