About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality speech and language instruction through Teletherapy (Telespeech)
  • Build rapport and momentum comparable to an in-person therapist
  • Evaluate students' speech and language levels and translate findings into clear, actionable goals
  • Design and carry out individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's IEP
  • Document sessions and track progress toward IEP goals with the rigor districts require
  • Partner with school-based staff, teachers, case managers, and administrators to align on student progress
  • Follow the school district's calendar
  • Complete the application process before receiving immediate start dates based on available placements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must hold an active clinical license from the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA)
  • Must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions on any license held
  • Experience with telehealth platforms for assessment and teletherapy delivery in a school/IEP context
  • Reliable, FERPA-compliant technology setup: webcam, headset, stable high-speed internet, private/distraction-free workspace
  • Comfort collaborating remotely with classroom teachers, case managers, and families
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
