About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with a pod of developers to build and maintain IAM capabilities
Contribute to the backend codebase with focus on reliability, scalability, and security
Participate in technical design discussions and break projects into actionable tasks
Identify and suggest improvements to authentication and authorization flows
Support maintenance and uptime of IAM systems, including investigating and resolving production issues
Work with product, security, and legal stakeholders to ensure compliance and integrity of user data and access
Stay informed about evolving security practices, frameworks, and technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need

A collaborative mindset and a willingness to share knowledge and ideas with teammates
Passion for IAM and security, including understanding the threat landscape
Experience with authentication protocols, SSO (SAML, OAuth), RBAC, and MFA
5+ years of professional software development experience
Hands-on experience with modern web development using Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and Apollo
Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and fostering strong engineering practices
Successful background check required
Must comply with applicable employment and privacy laws in Canada and the U.S.
