About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with co-founders, the CEO, and executive team to shape and execute company-wide growth strategies, business models, and profitability roadmaps.
- Spearhead corporate development strategy, including strategic partnerships, M&A opportunities, and new geographic market entry.
- Direct capital allocation, cash management, liquidity planning, and unit economics optimization.
- Co-lead equity and debt fundraising strategy with the CEO.
- Engage institutional investors, venture capital funds, and strategic partners.
- Lead financial models, investor presentations, data rooms, and due diligence processes for capital raises.
- Own board-level financial reporting, risk assessments, and scenario analyses.
- Oversee financial operations across Luxembourg, Spain, and France.
- Direct transfer pricing, intercompany agreements, tax optimization, and treasury functions.
- Maintain internal controls, risk management protocols, and audit readiness under IFRS and local GAAPs.
- Build long-range financial planning, unit economics, and dynamic pricing processes.
- Embed AI tools and automated financial workflows into the finance function.
- Translate operational data into actionable commercial insights.
- Lead, mentor, and expand the finance organization, currently consisting of four direct reports.
- Establish a culture of operational excellence, continuous learning, technological integration, and integrity.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent leadership role in a high-growth tech or fintech company, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading or co-leading successful venture capital rounds, growth equity fundraising, or debt financing processes.
- Deep operational familiarity with European regulatory, legal, and tax environments.
- Direct experience operating in Luxembourg, Spain, or France preferred.
- Background in financial services, alternative asset management, or fund administration software/tech ecosystems highly desirable.
- Active practitioner of modern finance tools, automation, and AI platforms.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- CFA, CPA, or ACCA certification is a plus.
- Full professional fluency in English.
- Working proficiency in Spanish or French is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional strategic vision and high-level financial modeling capability.
- Executive presence and ability to communicate complex financial narratives clearly.
- Entrepreneurial resilience in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Experience with international compliance, regulatory oversight, governance, and risk management across multiple EU jurisdictions.
