About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overall responsibility for the customer site in Frankfurt am Main
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 15 technical and administrative employees
- Ensure the reliable operation and continuous development of the IT and security infrastructure
- Manage networks, servers, storage, and video surveillance and video management infrastructure
- Represent Funkwerk at various specialist and decision-making levels within the customer organization
- Identify requirements at an early stage and manage challenging situations and escalations
- Manage updates, upgrades, lifecycle activities, expansions, and projects
- Translate customer requirements into solution concepts
- Assess costs and resource requirements, and prepare and present quotations
- Plan and manage budgets, revenue, and profit
- Balance quality and commercial viability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of relevant professional experience
- Broad, hands-on understanding of modern IT infrastructures
- Knowledge of networking, routing and switching, firewalls and security, servers, virtualization, or storage
- Practical experience with technologies and vendors such as Cisco and Fortinet
- Ability to assess technical solutions in terms of effort, risks, and feasibility
- Experience leading and developing teams and employees
- Technical and commercial mindset
- Experience with cost calculations, quotations, and budgets
- Confidence working within complex customer organizations
- Confident, solution-oriented approach when managing competing interests
- Very good German language skills
- Good English language skills
- Technical training, a degree, or a comparable qualification provides a solid foundation
- Knowledge of video surveillance, video management, or other security systems is an advantage but not required
