About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Futurice Germany’s AI growth
Act as technical lead in pursuits, shaping architectures, estimating effort, and building technical credibility in proposals and pitches
Design and build production-grade AI solutions, including multi-agent systems, RAG, AI features, and workflows
Design agent-ready interfaces, data, and permissions so agents can work safely with systems
Shape and build data platforms, pipelines, and analytics on Azure, AWS, or GCP using tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric
Take solutions from pilot to operation using MLOps/LLMOps, systematic evaluation, monitoring, and cost control
Make business impact measurable
Help shape Futurice’s AI-native engineering practices, including coding agents, evaluation, and review
Ensure solutions are secure by design, GDPR- and EU AI Act-compliant, and modular without vendor lock-in
Coach engineers, build reusable assets, and grow Futurice’s AI and data capability in Germany
Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues across development, design, data, AI, and strategy
Build lasting client impact through production solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Built and run AI, ML, or data-intensive systems in production
Strong Python and cloud-native engineering on at least one major cloud
Experience with infrastructure as code, containers, and CI/CD
Experience with agentic systems beyond chatbots, including tool use, orchestration, RAG, and systematic LLM evaluation
Solid experience with data modelling, pipelines, and modern data platforms
Experience shaping the technical side of proposals and participating in pitches
Good judgement under uncertainty and ability to determine when an LLM is not needed
AI tools and agents are a natural part of how you design, code, and test
Strong client communication skills, from engineers to board-level stakeholders
Fluent English
German is a strong plus and required for some clients
Experience in AI or ML engineering, data engineering and analytics, cloud and platform architecture, or AI platforms, governance, and operating setups
Experience appropriate for Senior or Principal level
