About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Affix external components on the switch
  • Perform vacuum and fill processes according to specifications
  • Test fully pressurized switchgear for leaks
  • Begin and set up reclaim processes as needed
  • Pick and assemble required parts according to drawings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
  • Ideally 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to safely use small hand and power tools
  • Good organization skills and ability to multi-task a variety of simultaneous processes
  • Ability to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
  • Ability to carry up to 40 pounds occasionally up to 25 feet
  • Ability to push/pull up to 40 pounds frequently
  • Ability to push/pull more than 40 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Continuous standing and walking; frequent bending/stooping, squatting/kneeling, lifting, gripping, manipulation, and fingering
  • Frequent variable hand/power tool use
  • Ability to perform two-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing, including engine stands, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, as implied by the E-Verify process for all new hires
