About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set up and operate one-two pieces of manufacturing machinery of moderate complexity
- Set up and operate machinery using hand tools as necessary
- Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Train others in machine operator tasks as needed
- Inspect all work for defects before passing it to the next operation
- Complete production and quality forms documenting actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
- Ideally 6+ months of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to safely use small hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor regarding manufacturing processes
- Ability to operate a variety of machinery
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
- Ability to carry up to 40 pounds occasionally up to 25 feet
- Ability to push/pull up to 40 pounds frequently
- Ability to perform occasional pushing/pulling of more than 40 pounds with assistance
- Continuous standing and walking; frequent bending/stooping, squatting/kneeling, lifting, gripping, manipulation, and fingering
- Frequent variable hand/power tool use
- Ability to perform two-person tasks using assistive devices
- Must be legally able to work in the United States, as indicated by E-Verify participation
