About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Assist in building prototypes and other basic assembly projects outside normal production as needed
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed
  • Contribute to team effort by training others in basic assembly tasks as needed
  • Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements before passing it to the next operation
  • Complete production and quality forms
  • Assist in training new hires or current internal employees newly assigned to the role

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
  • Ideally 0-1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to safely use small hand and power tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Willingness to cross-train and develop skills for Manufacturing Associate II roles, which may involve respirator fit and clean-shaven requirements
  • Ability to meet medium-heavy physical demands, including lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, gripping, manipulation, fingering, and variable hand/power tool use
  • Ability to perform two-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing, including engine stands, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists
