About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a Maintenance Team in daily tasks, projects, work orders, and preventive maintenance for production, the building, and grounds
Report to the Senior Maintenance & Facility Manager
Provide hands-on leadership and communicate daily goals, performance, and team member assignments
Assist with supervisory tasks and employee performance evaluations
Perform or assign preventive maintenance and work order functions
Perform safety sweeps and employee training, including TWI
Ensure team and maintenance-activity safety
Assist with resolving maintenance equipment repair issues
Control and source maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts
Help run an efficient maintenance operation meeting operational and customer demand and set targets
Participate in or manage maintenance projects and continuous improvement, problem-resolution, and lean initiatives
Organize daily work schedules, delegate tasks, and perform hands-on labor
Manage on-site contractors to ensure compliance with G&W safety, environmental, legal, and company requirements
Locate equipment parts, coordinate ordering with the maintenance clerk, and manage the spare-parts cage
Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

3-5 years’ experience performing work in a proven industrial maintenance environment, specifically with mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment
Ability to work under pressure and deal with stress and/or emergency situations effectively
High school diploma or GED
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead and coordinate activities within a department comprised of diverse tasks and demanding schedules
Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and schematics
Intermediate computer skills in MS Word and Excel
Demonstrated ability to problem solve, including use of corrective and preventive actions
Preferred: experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Preferred: experience leading a team
Preferred: college degree completed or in process
Must participate in E-Verify process for new hires
