About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the overall QA strategy, test planning, execution oversight, and release readiness
Ensure coverage across functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, PAT, and UAT testing
Provide leadership and direction to QA resources across business and technical teams
Participate in hands-on testing, validation, and defect investigation
Drive defect triage, prioritization, resolution tracking, retesting, and closure
Maintain requirements traceability and quality test documentation and evidence
Coordinate test environments, integrations, and test data readiness
Monitor testing progress and report risks, issues, defects, and release readiness
Identify and resolve quality risks, issues, and dependencies
Partner with stakeholders on testing decisions and production readiness
Use Azure DevOps or similar tools to manage test activities and reporting
Promote QA best practices, continuous improvement, and quality standards
Own accountability for successful project delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience, including leadership of QA teams and enterprise-scale testing initiatives
Experience developing QA strategies, test plans, governance processes, and quality metrics for complex technology implementations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in fast-paced environments
Experience managing defects, risks, issues, and action items through resolution
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar QA and test-management platforms
Ability to balance strategic QA leadership with hands-on testing and troubleshooting
Exceptional organizational skills, follow-through, and accountability
Willingness and ability to engage directly in testing activities when needed
Ability to proactively identify, track, and drive action items, risks, issues, and defects to completion with minimal supervision
Preferred experience supporting healthcare, Medicaid, PBM, Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA), or other highly regulated environments
