About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee development and implementation of corporate-wide application security procedures in client environments
Ensure application security procedures meet business requirements and safeguard information
Oversee implementation of access controls restricting access to authorized and trained users
Oversee destruction of highly sensitive confidential information according to policies and procedures
Develop and implement detailed security procedures
Oversee security administrator team compliance with client security procedures
Ensure compliance with program security requirements, including personnel, physical and administrative security systems and procedures
Serve as a subject matter expert on security procedures and audit compliance
Coordinate sensitive aspects of corporate security programs and verify adherence to policies and government regulations
Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel
Develop, coordinate and conduct security education programs
Investigate or oversee investigation of losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions
Implement approved corrective actions and provide summaries for senior management review
Research technological advancements to improve and align security solutions with industry and company standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field preferred
Nine or more years of experience in information systems security or computer operations
Experience working with corporate-level security systems and implementation procedures
Experience working with corporate and government security regulations
Experience working with company security software products
Experience working with domain structures, user authentication, user profiles and digital signatures
Possess a security clearance at the Secret level and/or CISSP certification
Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced personnel
Strong research skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
