Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in and facilitate client/project meetings to evaluate client needs and recommend strategies from project definition through release
Provide expertise, advice, and guidance on approaches, methods, and solutions
Resolve project issues and concerns
Collaborate with product developers, product managers, and customer application experts to define and create complex software products
Ensure adherence to company, technical, and professional product guidelines
Design complex integrated software modules
Ensure modules provide required functionality and meet performance guidelines
Recommend and implement adjustments, revisions, and significant changes
Assess cost implications and operational impact of variances from standards
Develop and implement product deployment guidelines
Provide technical advice, consultation, demonstrations, and installation support for clients and internal personnel
Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred
Twelve or more years of experience in software engineering, software architecture, or product development
Experience working with software design and implementation
Experience with compilers, assemblers, debuggers and simulators
Experience with HTML, MySQL, C, C++, and similar programming languages
Experience with Windows, Linux, and similar operating systems
Experience with business/client account objectives
Experience with sales/marketing, business/financial analysis, and project management
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced personnel
Good interpersonal and human relations skills
Ability to comprehend and filter information, apply judgment, and use experience in product and system design and support
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
