About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and implement complex project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for large or multiple high-complexity projects
- Determine the need for and impact of project scope changes and implement recommendations
- Gain stakeholder concurrence, approval, and consensus regarding project aspects
- Identify resources and staff projects
- Organize project teams to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives
- Act as point of contact with client project management
- Identify staffing changes or needs as projects progress
- Manage project costs, schedules, quality, deliverables, budgets, and risks
- Develop, recommend, and implement risk mitigation solutions
- Anticipate and manage technical, business, and schedule changes
- Determine when additional resources are needed and implement them
- Manage expectations of clients, company management, and project teams using project metrics
- Recommend and implement changes or alternate paths based on performance and metrics
- Develop and deliver presentations supporting expanded business opportunities
- Participate in proposal efforts and sales calls
- Manage client expectations and balance company and client needs
- Oversee assigned project personnel, assign work, provide direction, address performance issues, and provide performance input
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred
- Twelve or more years of project planning/management experience
- Experience with project management methodology such as Catalyst, including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software, and finance and accounting concepts and practices
- Experience with productivity and methodology tools that increase project efficiency and effectiveness
- Experience with administrative processes
- Experience with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
- Experience with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to the area
- Experience with techniques and approaches related to architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong creative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients
- Strong communication skills
- Skilled in estimating and common project management
