About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and support high-quality application solutions meeting business and technical requirements
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support
  • Execute change control activities and support deployment of application enhancements and system updates
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze needs, and implement solutions
  • Analyze and resolve technical and functional issues through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving
  • Support and enhance existing C/Unix-based applications and systems while ensuring reliability and performance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of application quality, development processes, and operational efficiency
  • Evaluate technical solutions and recommendations supporting project and organizational objectives
  • Design, develop, test, document, and maintain application software, including server, client, and web-based components
  • Participate in technical design activities and contribute to application architecture and solution designs
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
  • Develop functional specifications, technical designs, implementation plans, test plans, and deployment artifacts
  • Maintain technical documentation supporting application integration and delivery
  • Stay current with development tools, technologies, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of programming, application development, and batch programming experience using C, Unix, and Linux
  • Strong SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and relational database experience for data querying and data structures
  • Experience with system integration, scripting, software development, and SDLC methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Preferred experience with Medicaid IT systems, healthcare systems, and regulatory environments
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, root cause analysis, and project management skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)
  • Experience with DevOps/CI/CD practices
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews and during the initial week of orientation
