About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own 0G's cloud platform end to end, including infrastructure, deployments, networking, security hygiene and cost
Provision, upgrade, scale and manage resources across Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud and AWS
Run, upgrade and scale Kubernetes clusters, including node pools, autoscaling and Spot capacity
Operate validator, sentry, seed, RPC and archive blockchain nodes, including peering, snapshots, synchronization and client upgrades
Design and manage VPCs, load balancers, DNS, Cloudflare Workers, Tunnels and WAF
Design and run CI/CD for builds, tests, security scans and releases from commit to production
Define environments in Terraform or Pulumi
Manage observability through metrics, logs, alerts and dashboards, including metric cardinality
Lead incident response and write postmortems
Implement least-privilege IAM, secrets management and secure network access
Manage billing exports, budgets, alerts, tagging, monthly cost reviews and commitment planning
Enable developers through templates, preview environments, documentation and platform support
Build and publish node binaries and images and coordinate rolling upgrades across validator and RPC fleets
Track delivery health through build time, build cost, flaky tests and DORA metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years in DevOps, SRE or platform roles
3+ years running production Kubernetes and owning CI/CD pipelines
Production experience on at least two of Google Cloud, AWS and Alibaba Cloud, with willingness to learn the third quickly
Terraform or Pulumi in production
Scripting in Bash and in Python or Go
Track record of reducing a cloud bill through rightsizing, cleanup or commitments
Security-first handling of production credentials
Clear written communication
In-depth Kubernetes experience, including upgrades, scheduling, autoscaling, networking, security, stateful workloads, packaging, GitOps and debugging
Production CI/CD experience on Jenkins or an equivalent such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI or Tekton
Experience with pipeline-as-code, shared libraries, reusable templates, build and deployment pipelines, infrastructure pipelines and pipeline security
Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, subnetting, CIDR, routing, NAT, L4/L7 load balancing, DNS, TLS, certificates, firewalls, security groups and private connectivity
Nice-to-have: blockchain node operations, Cloudflare Workers/Tunnels/Zero Trust, Alibaba Cloud international site, confidential computing, GPU workloads, CKA/CKS or FinOps certification, CI-system migration experience, and Go or Rust
