About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Global Controller in overseeing financial accounting and reporting activities
  • Own the global month-end consolidation process for GAN’s B2B and B2C entities
  • Review and approve consolidation-related journal entries, including statutory-to-U.S. GAAP adjustments, intercompany transactions, debt, and foreign exchange entries
  • Perform month-end analysis to identify and resolve errors, discrepancies, and unusual fluctuations
  • Coordinate intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations, invoicing, and consolidation eliminations
  • Oversee general accounting close activities, account reconciliations, flux analysis, complex journal entries, and foreign exchange reviews
  • Partner with FP&A by providing general ledger data, financial insights, and ad hoc support
  • Oversee outsourced accounting providers and ensure accurate, timely deliverables
  • Prepare consolidation reporting packages and required financial disclosures for the ultimate parent company in Japan
  • Manage internal and external audit requests from the ultimate parent company
  • Prepare B2B management accounts, audited financial statements, and reporting tie-out packages
  • Support global financial reporting for B2B entities
  • Research U.S. GAAP guidance, Accounting Standards Codification updates, and regulatory developments
  • Troubleshoot complex accounting and reporting issues and develop practical solutions
  • Drive implementation and continuous improvement of financial controls across B2B accounting processes
  • Implement processes that improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and reduce month-end close and reporting cycle time
  • Ensure compliance with Sega Sammy reporting timelines and accounting policies, controls, and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional accounting qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous audit experience preferred
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Solid understanding of IFRS
  • Experience coordinating with accounting teams to meet financial reporting deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliverables across multiple global time zones
  • Knowledge of or experience with SOX, J-SOX, and internal control frameworks preferred
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and solution-oriented
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining engaged in tactical execution
  • Candidates must be based in the Las Vegas area and able to report to the office when requested
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a passport if needed preferred
