About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare building permit application documents
- Create CAD drawings for single-family homes
- Produce drawings for residential buildings, small commercial buildings, and multi-family homes
- Prepare permit drawings, construction drawings, and detailed working plans in coordination with the project manager
- Submit applications for utility connections and coordinate with the relevant trades
- Prepare detailed working plans for structural construction
- Occasionally coordinate with clients and order building materials
- Visit construction sites occasionally, if interested
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience creating construction drawings for single-family homes, including brick facades
- Good knowledge of submitting applications in coordination with electricians and heating contractors
- Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
