About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the efficient and productive operation of all IT systems in alignment with firm business objectives
  • Maintain and secure LAN/WAN/WLAN, servers, networking, telecommunications, and other IT systems
  • Provide primary support for physical and virtual servers, networking, storage, operating systems, backup and disaster recovery systems, and cloud software and systems
  • Support the Help Desk and assist users with everyday technical issues
  • Perform software installations and maintenance
  • Maintain the security of the firm’s local and cloud computing environment
  • Troubleshoot and repair Microsoft and SQL databases
  • Manage the VoIP phone system
  • Develop PowerShell and Power Automate scripts
  • Prepare documentation for all systems
  • Cover general IT support issues as needed
  • Collaborate with the IT group to deliver effective IT solutions
  • Track and report actual client-related time
  • Participate in internally focused projects, committees, technical training, HR initiatives, and other firm-related projects
  • Identify opportunities to reduce firm costs and provide services beyond core services
  • Deliver high-quality, accurate support to internal and external clients and professional staff
  • Report directly to a Performance Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Combination of education and work experience in systems administrator, network administrator, and/or technical support positions
  • Proficient with Windows desktop operating systems and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OneNote)
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
  • AI coding and automation experience with Claude, Perplexity, or Copilot
  • Experience with Azure AD/Entra, Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Office365
  • Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam
  • Experience with cloud hosting systems
  • Experience with Dell hardware
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions such as PRTG
  • Experience with automation tools and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
  • Experience with networking hardware including Powerconnect, SonicWall, and Extreme WAPs
  • Experience with SharePoint Online, VoIP telephony, and Windows Autopilot
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change
