About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive audience growth and content strategy across AMP Media’s soccer portfolio, including Unfiltered Soccer and Style of Play
- Monitor global soccer news, storylines, viral moments, and cultural conversations
- Ideate, produce, edit, and publish social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, Threads, and emerging platforms
- Identify, source, and package high-potential user-generated content
- Create memes, reactive content, trend-driven videos, graphics, and shareable formats
- Develop original social franchises, reactions, explainers, rankings, debates, and culturally relevant content
- Independently edit platform-native short-form video, including hooks, pacing, captions, sound, storytelling, and retention
- Monitor social conversations in real time and identify participation opportunities for shows, talent, and channels
- Tailor content for different soccer audiences, including USMNT, USWNT, Premier League, Champions League, MLS, NWSL, international soccer, and the global game
- Support real-time matchday and breaking-news coverage
- Capture behind-the-scenes content at live shows, shoots, matches, events, and on-site activations
- Work directly with talent to capture vertical video, reactions, interviews, and platform-specific content
- Support audience-growth strategies through collaborations, UGC, community engagement, cross-promotion, and talent amplification
- Optimize content for searchability, discoverability, SEO, metadata, and platform performance
- Execute sponsored and branded social content meeting creative, editorial, and contractual requirements
- Analyze views, retention, engagement, shares, and follower growth to inform programming decisions
- Collaborate with Social, Production, Editorial, Marketing, Design, and Sales teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in social media, digital content creation, video production, editing, or a related role, preferably within sports, media, or entertainment
- Deep knowledge of and passion for soccer, including the global soccer landscape
- Strong understanding of soccer internet culture, including memes, fan communities, UGC, trends, and creator content
- Portfolio demonstrating engaging, timely, and highly shareable sports content
- Advanced video editing and production skills
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and/or other professional social editing tools
- Ability to take content independently from idea through production, editing, and publishing
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, and Threads, including platform-specific formats, algorithms, audience behaviors, and growth strategies
- Ability to shoot high-quality social content using a phone or lightweight camera setup
- Strong editorial judgment and ability to work quickly around breaking news while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, 24/7 soccer and social-media news cycle
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working directly with producers, editors, executives, and high-profile talent
- Professionalism and sound judgment when working with high-profile talent
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must not require visa sponsorship, including H-1B or OPT-STEM sponsorship
