About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the physical and mechanical integration of F110 engines into the Shield AI X-Bat Vertical Takeoff UAS with Vectoring Exhaust Nozzles
- Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers integrating systems into customer test vehicles
- Ensure all component designs meet requirements
- Support and coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, services, sciences, ATO, and systems engineering organizations
- Support service programs, fulfillment, and New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Provide guidance and contribute to DMP and design-to-cost projects
- Communicate progress to all levels of the organization
- Mentor and develop less experienced personnel
- Manage complex assignments with long-term business implications
- Contribute to overall business strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Minimum of 12 years of engineering experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Must prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status
- Strong mechanical design and analytical background
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Six Sigma training
- Ability to drive projects to completion
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
- Master's degree in Engineering (desired)
